Dr Daniella knew from a young age that animals would play an important role in her life. Dr Dan grew up in China surrounded by a menagerie of animals, from parrots and finches to rabbits, hedgehogs, turtles, giant snails, and even silkworms. Her childhood nurtured an enduring love for the animal kingdom.
This passion ignited her educational path, leading her to pursue a Bachelor of Animal and Veterinary Bioscience, followed by Veterinary Science. In 2012, she proudly graduated from the University of Sydney and worked in an exclusively bird and exotics clinic in Sydney until her move to Canberra. Dr Dan’s double memberships in Avian Medicine and Surgery and Unusual Pets are a testament to her knowledge and excellence.
Dr Dan loves all aspects of her job, and her passion is to provide the absolute best care for her patients.
Dr Kelly graduated from Murdoch University in 2016 and has worked exclusively with exotic animals since. In 2022 Dr Kelly received her memberships in Avian Medicine and Surgery, joining the ranks of the limited few avian veterinarians across Australia.
In 2023, Dr Kelly made the move from our Perth clinics to our new Canberra clinic. She has a special interest in avian and aquatic medicine, as she gew up with many birds, turtles, and fish. One very special bird – Sunnie the Sun Conure – is described as Dr Kelly’s “best friend” and is who drove Dr Kelly to work with birds.
Dr William spent his childhood in Malta before moving to Australia in 2008. He had a keen interest in animals from an early age, and started out birdwatching and chasing reptiles around the garden. Keeping a variety of pets, particularly unusual ones was a big part of William’s upbringing.
Moving to Australia as a teenager put pursuing a career in the veterinary profession within reach. Since graduating from the University of Sydney in 2015, William has worked in Canberra for the last 5 years in a small animal practice with a high caseload of exotic and unusual pets.
Dr William is a member of a few professional organisations, including the Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians and the Unusual Pets and Avian special interest group within the AVA. He is also a member of the ANZCVS in Unusual pets and Avian medicine and surgery.
