Dr. Lee Bolt, graduated from the University of Idaho and Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He served in the Idaho National Guard and the U.S. Army, performing infectious disease research. He been a small animal and exotic animal veterinarian practicing in Asheville since 1992. Dr. Bolt also is dedicated to wildlife and zoological animal medicine and surgery. This has included positions as attending veterinarian at the Grandfather Mountain Stewardship Foundation, the Blue Ridge Wildlife Institute at Lee's-McCrae College (May Wildlife Center), and the Western North Carolina Nature Center. Doctor Bolt was head veterinarian for the Norman Vaughan - 1925 Serum Run, sled dog expedition; (A memorial tribute, tracing through the heart of Alaska. See links). He serves on the boards of several non-profit organizations, is a published author and retired drummer in the Band F.U.O.; Fever of Unknown Origin.
