Marisda Rosa, DVM

Dr. Rosa was born and raised in Puerto Rico where she attended the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez, earning a bachelor's degree in animal science. She moved to Alabama in 2003 to study veterinary medicine at Tuskegee University, graduating in 2007. Dr. Rosa joined the Sunridge family in 2007 and has been a vital part of our team. Her primary interests include internal medicine, geriatric health care, and preventative care.

Dr. Rosa has been a vital part of the clinic since she joined us in 2007. With her experience, she is one of the best at her craft. She cares fiercely for each patient and won't rest until she knows the animal is well taken care of. Combined with Dr. Ceballos, they make an excellent team. There is rarely something they cannot do. If there is something they are unable to do, they will refer the patient to a specialty to make sure they get the care they deserve.

Rebecca Read, DVM

Dr. Read is a graduate from the Western College of Veterinary medicine at the University of Saskatchewan. From there, she traveled to Las Vegas where she is experiencing being a Nevadan for the first time ever. So far in her career, the thing that has been the most rewarding for Dr. Read is the ability to work with wildlife. Her favorite pets to see, are birds. She has one of her own that is still in Canada. She hopes to bring him back as soon as she can.

Dr. Read is a Fear Free Certified veterinarian. This means she is able to: Reduce or remove anxiety triggers that can cause pets to become fearful, help to calmly deliver your pets to our hospital, and improve safety during exams.
