Mulford Animal Hospital

Mulford Animal Hospital has been serving pets and their families in Rockford, IL and surrounding areas since 1978. They provide a wide variety of veterinary services for dogs, cats and exotics (includes chickens).

Donna L. Mueller, DVM

Dr Donna Mueller has been providing care for pets at Mulford Animal Hospital since 2002. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Rockford College before attending the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine. After earning her DVM in 1986 she practiced small animal medicine in a large practice in Chicago for 16 years before returning to her hometown of Winnebago. She has a daughter, Cora who is currently attending college. Dr. Mueller spends much of her free time keeping up her small farm and caring for her five dogs, four alpacas, and George, her llama. She is kept busy training her dogs in obedience, rally and agility and she and her dogs often participate in local dog shows. She also greatly enjoys walking her dogs and biking in local parks although she admits to being a true fair weather outdoor enthusiast only.

Katie Harbach, DVM

Dr. Katie Harbach Schulz grew up on a farm in Freeport, IL loving and working with an array of different animals. She graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 2005. Since then she has worked in small animal practices full time and was the lead program veterinarian teaching certified veterinary technicians while working as a relief doctor. Dr. Harbach enjoys working with all animals but focuses on dogs, cats, and exotics. She joined us here at Mulford Animal Hospital in 2017 and, while she loved the teaching aspect of the field, her true passions lie in the relationships she builds with her clients and patients. She enjoys all aspects of small animal medicine but really focuses on internal medicine, ultrasound and ophthalmology. When not working she enjoys time with her family, husband, Jeremy, two boys, Zane and Dexter, and her dog, Rayna.
