Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center


Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center, located in Lenexa, KS, is the result of many years of planning and a commitment to bring integrated veterinary medicine to families in an warm and inviting facility. The building was constructed using straw bale design with passive solar and natural lighting throughout the facility. Full-spectrum compact fluorescent lighting is employed for energy conservation as well as for the well-being of the pets and people in the building.

JC Burcham, DVM

Born and raised in Ames, IA, Dr. J.C. Burcham received her B.S. from the University of Minnesota and her DVM from Iowa State University. Birds and animal behavior have always fascinated her, and she enjoys focusing her attention on these fields in veterinary medicine. She was very fortunate to practice in a progressive small animal practice for 8 years prior to joining Mariposa, which allowed her to hone her skills with all types of exotic pets and foster an open mindset towards alternative therapies.
