Mariemont Veterinary Clinic provides quality veterinary care for companion animals in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. They will see pet chickens, ducks and other poultry.

Dr. Carlton, DVM

Dr. Carlton, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, holds undergraduate degrees from the University of Findlay and graduated from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2016. Following graduation, he spent three years in northern Ohio working in private practice specializing in mixed animal medicine, covering both farm and companion animals. During this time, Dr. Carlton gained extensive surgical experience and cultivated a strong passion for surgical interventions. In addition to his private practice experience, he also had the unique opportunity to work with a variety of animals, including giraffes, zebras, bison, elk, kangaroos, and more, at a local drive-through safari park. In 2019, Dr. Carlton relocated to Cincinnati, where he has been dedicated to companion animal practice ever since. He is a certified veterinary acupuncture practitioner, offering a holistic approach to animal care. In his leisure time, Dr. Carlton enjoys spending quality time with his family, indulging in travel adventures, hiking in scenic landscapes, kayaking, and exploring other outdoor pursuits.

Dr. Westerfield, DVM

Dr. Westerfield was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Animal Science and graduated from The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1985. He has been practicing at the Mariemont Veterinary Clinic since 1990 where he has focused his practice on canine and feline internal/preventative medicine. Dr. Westerfield enjoys helping people keep their pets happy and healthy and in his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and spending time with his wife Diane, their children, and grandchildren.

Dr. Zola, DVM

Dr. Zola was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. He holds an undergraduate degree in Zoology from The Ohio State University and is a 2018 graduate of Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following graduation, Dr. Zola spent four years working in private practice and for the Cincinnati SPCA where he performed hundreds of surgeries, including the first-ever femoral head ostectomy. He enjoys working with dogs, cats, birds, and all exotic species. He is also passionate about contributing his time to the Cincinnati Veterinary Medical Association, where he currently sits on the board of directors. In his spare time, Dr. Zola enjoys being outside, exploring creeks and going hiking with his wife Felicia, their two children, and his dog, Irie.
