Dr. Berry was born in Texas but was primarily raised in Walnut Creek, California. He moved to Washington in October 1992. Dr. Berry worked at Marine World Africa USA where he cared for large cats, elephants, and a huge variety of zoo animals which further enhanced his confidence and abilities working with non traditional pets. He received a degree in Biological Sciences and was accepted to Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine. Following his graduation from Purdue he moved back to the west coast and worked for 2 1/2 years in Petaluma, California before starting the Lynden Veterinary Hospital in November of 1992. Dr. Berry had always kept his love of the unusual pets, as well as dogs and cats, which has now become a big part of the veterinary profession due to the public's demand for more non-traditional pets.
