Dr. Locke A. Taylor opened his practice in 1969 with a staff of four. In the years that followed, the hospital has grown in both size and exceptionalism. Dr. Taylor says, "I have wanted to be a veterinarian as long as I can remember." He began working with animals at the age of 13. In 1969, he earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Georgia. In the same year, he began his practice, which has grown and prospered for over half a century. Dr. Taylor's main professional interest lies in general practice. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association.
