Gentle Care Animal Hospital provides veterinary services to a wide variety of animal species, including dogs, cats, small mammals, reptiles, exotic pets, and birds (such as poultry!). The hospital was founded by Dr. Marguerite Ermeling in 1986, and is fully equipped with an in-house laboratory, and state-of-the-art diagnostic technology. H Marguerite Ermeling, DVM

Dr. Marguerite Ermeling, a graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, opened Gentle Care Animal Hospital in 1987. Her mission was to offer the Lawrence community uniquely personalized family pet care. She was the region’s first premier veterinarian to provide advanced medical and surgical options for dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, exotics, and wildlife patients. She continues to provide cutting-edge advances in veterinary medicine, including special certifications in acupuncture and chiropractic care, which complement her traditional medicine practice.
