Dr. Zach Lane is a Georgia native and grew up in Woodstock. From a young age, his love of animals and science sparked a passion for animal healthcare. That passion took him to Berry College in Rome, where he majored in Animal Science and Chemistry, all the way to St. George’s University School of Veterinary Medicine on the beautiful island of Grenada. He then completed his clinical training at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. During holiday breaks from school, Dr. Lane worked as a veterinary assistant in emergency and critical care. Upon graduation, Dr. Lane returned to his roots and became an emergency veterinarian, gaining his years of experience in treating complicated and unique medical cases. During his tenure in emergency medicine, he honed his skills in triage, trauma management, and rapid decision-making by providing life-saving interventions for animals in critical situations. While he found immense fulfillment in this work, he felt a calling to work on preventing his patients from becoming so critically ill. Therefore, he transitioned to general practice and brought his depth of knowledge to East Roswell Vet Hospital. Here, he gained invaluable experience in preventive care, chronic disease management, and client education. Dr. Lane has enjoyed building relationships with pet owners and the opportunity to offer optimal care for his patients. However, he soon recognized the limitations of conventional treatments and the importance of addressing underlying imbalances for long-term health.
