Born in 29 Palms, California, and in a military family, Dr. Mack has lived in many states and is proud to call Virginia home. Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Mack began with a love of animals and often volunteered with animal rescues and ranches. She graduated from Auburn University College, where she was president of the pre-vet club and an officer in her school’s surgery club. Dr. Mack is deeply interested in soft tissue surgery, internal medicine, and emergency medicine when it comes to her work. When she isn’t at work, her hobbies include traveling, reading, weight lifting, and snuggling her senior pup named Dobby.
Dr. Cohen was born and raised in Southern California and grew up with many dogs and horses; as a child it was her dream to become a veterinarian when she grew up. She left California when she was nineteen to pursue her education and studies at Colorado State University. While in Colorado she obtained her bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and a minor in Anatomy and Neurobiology in 1994.
Dr. Valeria Rickard, the practice owner at NOAH & Reproduction Center and DVAH, is a Virginia Tech Veterinary School graduate. She has been practicing small animal veterinary medicine and surgery in the Northern Virginia area for the past 13 years. In 2005, she realized her dream and opened her own state-of-the-art practice in Haymarket. With her husband John, Dr. Rickard has designed and built a facility large enough to serve the needs of all their companion animal clients while retaining the feel of personalized service.
