Alex Dahlgren, DVM, CHPV, CVA graduated from the University of Georgia in 2006. She practiced emergency veterinary medicine for two years before joining Cary Street Veterinary Hospital in June of 2008. Dr. Dahlgren became certified in veterinary acupuncture through Colorado State University’s program. She has special interests in older dogs and cats, working dogs and sports medicine, and pain control and rehabilitation medicine. She was also part of the first graduating class of veterinarians certified in Animal Hospice. In addition, she also enjoys behavior and training and has experience training search and rescue dogs. After the new Richmond City Chicken Ordinance was passed, Dr. Dahlgren is now seeing chickens at our practice
