Kay grew up in Market Drayton, went to school in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, and qualified as a vet from the University of Bristol in 2003. After five years working down south, she returned to her home stomping ground to join Blue House in 2008. She purchased Blue House along with Neil in 2010. Kay has a wide range of veterinary interests including soft tissue surgery, medicine and chickens! She enjoys teaching vet students and children alike, and is usually the person who does our school visits. She runs regular acupuncture clinics for dogs, cats and the occasional rabbit using Western Medical Acupuncture techniques. Kay lives with her husband Brendon (a software architect) and her little girls Caitlin and Eleanor. She shares her home with a spotty Jack Russell Terrier called Bob, who arrived at Blue House as a stray eight years ago. She also has four chickens – Chicoletta, Lily, Sky and Rosie. She loves food, cooking, dancing (Ballroom and Latin) and reading fantasy books.
