Dr. DeLong is a 1994 graduate of the University of Georgia, College of Veterinary Medicine. He opened Avalon Animal Hospital in 1997. He is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians and the Association of Amphibian and Reptile Veterinarians. He specializes in exotic medicine, orthopedic and general surgery, and endoscopic procedures. He is the father of three lovely children, Bryce, Brynn, & Sterling. His wife, Dr. Dawn DeLong, is also a veterinarian and previously headed the Board of the Animal Emergency Center of Gwinnett. In his free time, Dr. DeLong loves to fly his plane.
