Drug Type: Vitamin

Vitamin K

Vitamin K is required for regulation of proteins and blood coagulation. It is needed for synthesis of a protein required for blood clotting and is used to manage anticoagulant rodenticide intoxications.

Since antibiotics can affect the bioavailability of Vitamin K, supplementing their diet with Vitamin K can be beneficial for any bird receiving these as a treatment.
