Tamoxifen

Tamoxifen (brand name Nolvadex®) is a form of hormonal therapy, specifically it is a selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM). SERMs work by binding to estrogen receptors, preventing estrogen from binding. Tamoxifen is given to hens suffering from ovarian cancer, to help prolong their lives. It has been given to woman with breast cancer for over 30 years, to help prolong their lives.
