Drug Type: Antiparasitic

Quinacrine hydrochloride (HCl)

Quinacrine hydrochloride (HCl), also referred to as mepacrine hydrochloride, is most commonly known for its antimalarial and antiparasitic properties. It is used in combination with other medications to treat chickens infected with the blood-borne parasite, Leucocytozoon spp. Recent research shows it also has anticancer properties.

Caution: Overdose can cause liver damage.
