Overview
Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) is a commonly used antihistamine that reduces the effects of natural chemical histamine in the body. It can be beneficial for birds having an allergic reaction.
Dosage
2-4 mg/kg given orally by mouth, or 2 mg/L drinking water, every 12 hours.
