Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital, located in Mesa, AZ, is a full-service exotic animal hospital that specializes in providing complete veterinary services as part of routine wellness as well as for emergency treatments. The hospital has four experienced exotic pet veterinarians on stall full-time, including a Board-certified Avian Specialist and crew of certified veterinary technicians and animal care support staff

Anthony Pilny, DVM DABVP (Avian Practice)

Dr. Pilny is a native New Yorker but joined Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital by way of Los Angeles, California. Dr. Pilny is a graduate of the University of Florida’s College of Veterinary Medicine. He completed an internal medicine and surgery internship at Florida Veterinary Specialists in Tampa, Florida and a residency in Avian and Exotic Pet Medicine and Surgery at The Animal Medical Center in New York City.

Erica Giles, DVM

Dr. Erica Giles grew up in Ohio where she developed a love for animals, especially the scaled, feathered and otherwise non-traditional ones. She graduated from Ohio State University in 2012, and afterward moved to Connecticut where she trained with an avian specialist and gained experience with small animal and exotic pet medicine and surgery. From Connecticut she spent time in Ohio and Pennsylvania, in practices where she expanded her medical and surgical knowledge in a more dog/cat focused environment. She realized through those experiences that exotic pets are where her passion lies.

Nick Saint-Erne, DVM CertAqV

Dr. Nick Saint-Erne is a dedicated veterinarian who is passionate about pets, exotic animals, and aquatic veterinary medicine. He has over 35 years of experience in in veterinary hospitals treating dogs, cats, rabbits, rodents, ferrets, birds, reptiles, amphibians, fish, other exotic pets and zoo animals. He was one of the first veterinarians certified as an Aquatic Veterinarian by the World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association, and in 2017 was designated as a Distinguished Fellow of WAVMA.

Stephanie Lamb, DVM DABVP (Avian)

Dr. Lamb has always desired to provide good health, happiness and care to all exotic pets. She grew up in Las Vegas, NV. After graduating from UNLV with a B.S. in Biology, she attended veterinary school at the University of Minnesota. After finishing veterinary school she performed a one year internship in avian and exotic medicine followed by a two year residency in avian medicine and surgery. Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Lamb moved to southern California and practiced at an exotics exclusive animal hospital. During this time she gained extensive knowledge and became skilled in treating exotic mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians, and wildlife. During her career she has also worked with many humane societies, parrot and rabbit rescue groups, wildlife centers and raptor rehabilitation facilities.
